Strategy and Structure:
Organizing Meeting in Nazareth
30 July 2004
Representatives of all the member organizations of the Coalition of Women for Peace met for an important organizing meeting on Friday, July 30, 2004 in the beautiful Casa Palestina in Nazareth.
We called it, “The Coalition, the Organizations, and the Links Between Us”
The objectives of our get together:
- To update each other about our activities
- To strengthen ties among the Coalition organizations
- To clarify the decision making processes
- To propose future activity
We spent the first three hours updating each other about what each organization is doing – the richness and variety of the activities were impressive.
We then had a big vigil of Women in Black in the heart of the Old City of Nazareth. After lunch, we divided up into working groups to come to decisions about future activity, media activity, and decision-making structures.
It was a long day, but very productive. Summaries of the discussions are available on the Hebrew site.
