In the Shadow of Discrimination in Land Division and Planning
- Saint Margaret Hotel, Nazareth, April 1 – 2, 2005
The established discrimination against Palestinian citizens of Israel has been continuous throughout the fifty seven years of the State of Israel's existence. This discrimination is expressed, among other things, in the lack of planning of Arab towns, discriminating plans of national projects, and a lack of development budget and other resources.
Instead of giving a true answer to the Palestinian citizens' needs, the State of Israel continues to initiate house demolitions, land expropriation, and reductions in jurisdiction areas to the Palestinian population. This discriminating policy brings the Palestinian citizens into an impossible situation that leads them to the only plausible solution of illegal construction.
During these two days, we will examine how this policy affects women.
