We Stand Together

Against racism

For freedom from the occupation - For life in dignity

Background

On Wednesday July 1st, early morning, bulldozers accompanied by numerous army forces entered Um El Fahem and demolished a large building used as a vegetables store in the city market. This week, the night between Monday and Tuesday, another industrial building was demolished in Kufr Kara. In light of the racist calls to make Wadi Ara "Jewish" and the continuous house demolitions in the Negev and the central region, we are coming out for a struggle.

Sumaya Sa'adi, whose family's house was demolished: "The neighbors woke me up in the middle of the night, in screams, telling me the house has been demolished. We jumped into the car, the soldiers blocked the road and so we parked and walked. I was in great pain, I was terribly angry, I yelled at the soldiers, but I was afraid. They want to do here what they did in Gaza and to expel the residents of Um El Fahem. They are trying to frighten you - that if you will open your mouth, you will get arrested, your job will be taken from you, your driving license, your house. Women's role in this situation is to voice the protest of the entire society".
